We get asked a lot of questions, here are a few answers!
Frequently Asked Questions
How does booking work?
Just call, text or email us to let us know where you are located and approximately how much paper you would like shredded and we can schedule a day to get it done! If you book your shredding appointment on a day we will already be in your community, there are NO travel fees. If you book a day outside of our regular shredding schedule there may be a travel fee, but we offer complete transparency and will let you know upfront if any travel fees apply.
How often do you come to my area?
The list below shows how often we do regular scheduled shredding in different areas. To find out specifically which day we will be in your area next, please give us a call, text or email.
Whitecourt every 2 weeks Fox Creek every 8 weeks Swan Hills every 8 weeks Barrhead every 4 weeks Westlock every 4 weeks Mayerthorpe every 4 weeks Sangudo every 8 weeks Niton Junction every 8 weeks Edson every 4 weeks Hinton every 4 weeks Drayton Valley every 4 weeks Evansburg every 8 weeks
What if my community is not on the list?
Not a problem! We often make stops in between and around the listed areas. Please give us a call or email to let us know how we can serve you.
Do you shred boxes?
No. Paper and cardboard are recycled separately and if we shred them together they will both end up at the garbage dump instead of being recycled. We empty the contents of your boxes into our tote, which will be loaded into the hopper for immediate shredding. The boxes left behind may be flattened and put out with your weekly recycling pick up, placed in a carboard collection bin, or taken by you to your local transfer station.
Do you price match?
Yes! We will price match any of our competitor's pricing (after their extra fees and surcharges are added in). Our competitive, flat rate pricing is hard to beat!
Do you use contracts?
Nope, not unless you really want one. We prefer that our customers stay with us because of our competitive pricing and excellent service, not because they signed a huge contract and are stuck with us. We want you to be able to try out our services at our best prices, completely risk free.
Will you shred for us temporarily while we go paperless?
Absolutely! We can set you up with the appropriate totes or consoles and a regular scheduled pickup until you are done scanning your old documents. Then we will simply collect our bins when you no longer need them. There is no extra cost for this.
Where can I drop my paper off?
You can't! We know you are busy, so we always come to you. We also want to ensure that your documentation remains secure, so we do not store any un-shredded paper.
Why do I need to shred paper?
It is SO important that you shred any paper with your personal information on it! Identity thieves can use small amounts of information to do a great deal of damage, so you should shred papers that do not need to be stored for records. Some examples include old resumes, bills*, boarding passes, prescription labels, receipts (unless needed for warranties), used envelopes, leftover birth announcements, extra funeral pamphlets...
*Shredding utility and credit card bills is not a replacement for actually paying them. Pay them first then shred them.
